Hi, my name is Alexander Hormann.

I feel a strong passion for long-distance hiking, writing and nature photography, which I first combined on a ‘thruhike’ of the 4,270 km Pacific Crest Trail in 2018 - an incredible experience that I am very grateful for because it changed my life in many positive ways.

Showing the beauty of nature I was able to experience to inspire others motivated me to publish my first travel photo book in 2020 and later to take my sister, my girlfriend and even my students on a hike in the European mountains.

On a forest walk very close to my home in Holzminden, Germany in April 2021 an unexpected encounter with some little fox cubs gave me the impetus to see the beauty of nature not only in the mountains far away from home, but all around me.
